Not only does Idle On! PLUS eliminate Ford’s factory 30-minute idle shutdown, it also adds selectable High Idle capability to help support increased electrical demands and work equipment operation.

Designed for 2023 and newer Ford Super Duty F-250 through F-600 trucks, Idle On! PLUS uses Ford’s factory SEIC (Stationary Elevated Idle Control) system to provide a simple, reliable, and non-invasive installation.

With the parking brake engaged, simply activate your switch during the first 20 minutes of idling to enter High Idle mode.

High Idle RPM:
Diesel: Approximately 1160–1200 RPM
Gas: Approximately 960–980 RPM

    Our fire dept purchased a 2023 Ford F-550 rescue truck that has the auto-shutdown feature. The truck has 12v scene lights we use for night-time incidents, and it’s unacceptable for it to shut off after 30 minutes. The dealer said there was no Ford-approved option for disabling the auto-shutdown, but we found the Idle On at Merlin’s. While you can find similar devices on Youtube that do the same thing, I chose the Idle On because of the sturdy box the components come in. We bought the non-plugged version for the faster delivery, but found we couldn’t have used the plug-and-play version because the fire truck manufacturer had already used some of the wires on the body-builder plug. We asked the builder if we could share the wires, but they didn’t have a real answer. Because most of the wires report vehicle status (transmission in park, emergency brake on, etc), we decided to go ahead and connect the Idle On in parallel with the circuits already being used by the builder. So far, we have had no problems with things working, or experienced any unanticipated consequences. We will definitely add the Idle On to two new brush trucks when they are delivered. Thanks Merlin’s for a good solution!

    Works as advertised on my 2023 F-450. If you have any issues Kevin even answers the phone himself quickly. I had another wire from the body builder already in a connector I had to put into the Idle On connector or it would have been just plug and play. I hooked up the idle increase wire to a switch on the overhead console and it worked perfect also. I did not need it, but I hooked it up anyway since it was available. This Idle On works. I ordered a second one for my 2024 F-450

    2nd one in a week installed and works as promised. No more limit on idle time on a 2024 F-450. Plug and play and hooked up the high idle to the overhead switch just because it was there. 7.3 gas engine.

    Unit works as expected, arrived really quick. Installation was extremely easy with provided video and schematic. Unit came with ample wire, and is a rugged design. We will purchasing additional units in the future for our other vehicles.

    What a fantastic solution for our 2026 Super Duty. We followed the 2025 Upfitter instructions because the 2026 deets aren’t published yet … and everything was identical. Both the 30-min bypass and high idle work flawlessly! Be sure to watch a couple of the instructional YouTube vids. Cheers!
